Over all, I like the piece and it's use of color, but the biggest problem I have with the piece is there's no sense of scale. I can't tell if this thing is a nano machine or a space ship the size of a small moon. Somethings that could be done to help with that is changing the background. I think a star field, a city, a vast field, would do the trick. I like the attention to detail in this piece. If gives a modeler like myself something to work with. And the little spots of orange work nicely with the piece.
...Cool the organic appearance and the spikes on it's hull give this ship quite menacing appearance and does it's name indicate that it can change the atmosphere of a planet if given enough time do it's work?
I love the color and how the reds makes it look like you can see the engines. How it's set up reminds me of a squid, so can those legs coming together move? Or I suppose they could focus the power to create worm holes or similar tech.
The texture and painting style you used is really cool, it looks like the machines a made of metal webs in places. Very insectoid looking.
Looks very organic. Nice work, moonxels- but should it really be called a "Terra"-former when it is most likely to be altering another planet to resemble the conditions of the planet the species who built it originate from? Or do they come from a planet similar enough to Earth that we can call it a terraformer?
Ha ha, well it is their concept spaceship, they can call it what they want. Let's just hope that some Venusian alien doesn't invade with a Venusformer to cause Earth's climate to become a hot greenhouse. That is the problem with terraforming- if that planet is inhabited, you are participating in the theft of an entire world.
