edit:this is a complete rework of this picture ,I really felt embarrassed by the previous one...so if you liked it ,I'm sure you will love this new version!
in case you wanna compare with the old one because you are unsure why I've reworked it,here it is: [link]
In the nowhere lands ,even if the dead giants are gigantic, they are sometime very hard to find... And this is the case here; the once known as "the walking cannon" is resting in the middle of nowhere hidden by the north mountains. It was believed to have a kind of armour that is like half bone/half metal and almost indestructible. So seeing this ,we cannot really imagine what kind of energy damaged it that way...
Just below the empty shell, there is a temple made in the very same material and it is believed that in it's basement is kept a giant crystal that was once the source of this giant beast...
as you can see ,some wanderers are after the giant's crystals all over the world. then they bring it to another giant to try to relive it...so far noone managed to relive one. it has been said that a group of people are planning to revive one with a city build on it...
This is a piece that really hits you when you see it, you just think "wow". The design of the giant itself is really unique, and it has a lot of nice details, like the wear in the front legs, which makes it look like its being eaten away. The character in the foreground is well-drawn, the robe blowing in the wind, and the addition of this character really puts the scale of the giant into perspective. Other small touches like the tree, the waterfall, the birds and the fog create a great atmosphere which really adds to the piece. I would suggest that you make the full-size view a bit smaller, so that it can fit on the screen without having to scroll up and down to see it. Fantastic Critique by
So beautiful.... the mix beetween nature and sci-fi stuff.... I love things like that Man, if you have a little time, please visit my sci-fi folder [link] I would really like to know what do you think about my sci-fi style.
thanks a lot I gave a quick look it could be promising but it's too carefully painted with too much "clean" edges ,the dark subjects are nice just try to get more loose and ans stay away from the self controlled paint technique... try to "paint" more (paint big chunks of colors) than "draw" the painting (if that makes sense) you need to do more and let it go
Thanks for taking time to watch my work . Yeah, I agree with you about those "clean" edges and the self controlled paint technique. It's still hard for me to make interesting digital pantings without a lot of defined details that maybe don't make a true difference. I would like to do more "sketched" paintings, more like the Kekai Kotaki's ones. That guy has a really stunning style too *.* Sorry if my english sucks a little(hope it sucks just a little xDD)
everybody (including me) is tempted to do a lot of details and carreful painting,it's acytually to mask a lack of painting technic. beside careful painting looks old ans dated and unprofessional...yeah sad but true.
